This case really bothers me. I have a feeling that this case is about control from her parents. This is just a theory, of course. But I think as Lacey got older, despite her having been diagnosed with Autism or Aspergers, she became a threat to her parents in some way. Maybe Lacey becoming more mature-looking was enough of a threat. Or maybe she was voicing her opinions more, and starting to find her own path. Maybe Lacey was experiencing psychological and emotional abuse at home, and this is what caused her to regress with severe social anxiety and/or PTSD. The coroner couldn't eat for a week after seeing the state Lacey was in. No loving parent would let their child rot away on the living room sofa for over a decade. And what gets me is when their lawyer comes out with a comment from the parents saying they'd just lost a child, and anyone who has lost a child would know their pain. That comment in light of the horrific condition Lacey was found is downright delusional. I'm still shocked they got out on $300K bail. I hope the prosecution becomes a loud voice for Lacey. She was only 36 years young.
